While working with older photos, I’ve come to the dilemma of whether to modify the original copy. We have the technology to improve things. However, in the future, we may have the technology to do even better things. If I change it then something may be lost and people might wonder what other things have been changed. I decided to do both. I use the unmodified and the modified versions.
This becomes important when you realize all tintypes are reversed left to right.
